Black Hat 2016: Not Just Another Day at the Breach

Black Hat USA 2016 is less than a week away, and this year’s conference promises to be the biggest by far. Built by and for the global InfoSec community, Black Hat is the most technical and relevant global information security event series in the world.

This year’s conference, which will be held in Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, takes place over six days, with the first four days filled with intense training for security professionals of all levels, followed by the two-day main event.

But something is different. The cybersecurity landscape is going through a bit of a transformation. IT and security organizations are looking beyond the mountains of log data and traditional preventative tools, and beginning to embrace new methods of breach detection that incorporate communications, user and entity behavior analytics. It’s becoming more about the visibility.

This is what has SS8 extremely excited to participate this year. We will showcase SS8 BreachDetect, which uses new methods of network analytics, machine learning and automation to accelerate and simplify breach detection.

WHEN: Wed, Aug. 3 from 10:00am to 7:00pm; Thur. Aug. 4 from 10:00am to 5:00pm

WHERE: Black Hat USA, Booth #1472, Mandalay Bay Convention Center, Las Vegas

SS8_BreachDetect_TShirtsStop by booth #1472 to get a quick, live demo of BreachDetect and see how our solution generates and stores years of enriched High-Definition Records (HDRs) from communication flows, which are analyzed in real-time against past, current and future network activity to find even the most persistent and elusive breaches that can slip past preventative defenses and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools.

Come by our booth and show us you’re following SS8 on Twitter (@SS8) or LinkedIn, and we’ll give you a free “Not Just Another Day at the Breach” t-shirt!

We hope to see you at Black Hat at booth #1472.
